05.24.05,
Join
Our Team
Every year the Kent State Men's
Rugby Club loses great players due to graduation or personal
obligations. This past year Kent State lost 2 great Captains
Kritter Regan and Steve Miller. The team could never replace
a Kritter or a Steve, but they can recruit and train others
to become great players as those two men were and still are.
Kent State Rugby welcomes anyone who wants to try a sport
that isn't just about hitting, running and winning, but also
provides a network of friends, brotherhood, good times, and
always a surprise. There is no need to tryout, if you come
to our practice and want to play, you are on the team. Do
not worry if you do not know the sport as a team Kent State
Rugby will teach you everything you need to know to master
the sport of rugby. So if you are interested please fill out
the join the team form on the left side of the page and let
us know that you want to become a KSU Rugger!

04.12.05,
Select Side
Columbus, OH -- Congratulations Jeff Heijl (Dorothy),
Drew Fisher (Hobbit) and Gabe Rucci on your awesome performance
at the 2004 Select Side tryouts. All three men represented
Kent State Rugby greatly by not only playing awesome at Ohio
Sate on April 10th, but all three also get to travel with
the Ohio Collegiate Rugby Select Side to play in Chicago.
Dorothy had several great runs and tackles during the match
against OSU. Gabe also had several awesome runs and tackles
against OSU showing what he is made of. Hobbit played like
he always does with several runs and tackles, but also scoring
the only try for the select side.
